Blog Free Zone

Yes it has been a blogfreezone for some time!
The Bard has been busy over the summer - a trip around the South Island & back to the Chathams, a house move, a job change and spending lots of time with my Ricky in real time now instead of skype & msn - yahoo. My laptop has been shut for a very long time. But back to work now & here i am back at the kitchen table office getting ready to begin as full time ePrincipal for the TaraNet elearning cluster.
I'll still be using this blog to write about whats happening in schools but i guess it will have a changing flavour from where i have been before - watch this space.

I'm a bit slow here myself but it's about time you re-surfaced in the edublogosphere, Rachel! Glad to have you back in my aggregator - it's funny how I worry about people who've never met if they stop blogging for a while - especially as it's none of my business. Love to read a more detailed explanation about the role of ePrincipal for those of us unfamiliar with the NZ ed system.

Hi Graham
Long time no see huh ;-) Good to hear from you.
The role of an ePrincipal is one being developed amongst those of us in NZ who have found themselves in this position! In a nutshell each of our clusters runs a 'virtual campus' if you like, - an elearning school comprised of our contributing schools, and includes our elearners, eteachers, and school VC coordinators & support people. So we lead this in our own areas but also collaborate very closely nationally within the NZ VC network. If you check out the videoconferencing tag on this site you should glean some more links & readings about the virtual learning network in NZ.
